The Brazilian pork industry has just achieved a major international strategic milestone.
The federal government has successfully concluded negotiations that, for the first time, authorize the export of thermally processed pork to New Zealand — opening the doors to a high purchasing power market for Brazilian protein.
This achievement is a key highlight in the latest expansion wave of Brazilian agribusiness, which also now allows the export of sheep bile to the Oceania country.
The entry of Brazilian pork into this market has strong potential to boost trade balance in the region, especially considering that in 2025 alone, Brazil has already exported around US$ 107 million in agricultural products to New Zealand.
